K/R White gauzy skirt

I've been searching forever for some image in my head of a light white gauzy skirt. I've tried and failed many times. I stumbled on this one by Maxstudio at TJ Maxx. I'm on the fence. Need honest assessment of whether it is flattering or adds bulk (where I least need it) and if it's really age appropriate and how to style it. I just added a black tank and my new Fergie jeweled flats (had to have them even though they are not a NEED)
1 with tank lifted to show questionable hippy area.

I don't love this skirt, it is just ok although I do love how you have styled it. The linen one from Wiw this week is so much more polished. This one has a boho kind of feel and maybe that is what you are aiming for.

I'm not crazy about this tiered style, Jeanne, and it looks like is doing something weird and poufy at the top. I think it's a hard style to pull off especially at this length when it can look a little juvenile. (A boho tiered style might work at a midi length although I think it's better when the tiers start lower down and are wider.)

Well, it looks great, IMO, with the tank down (I don't see you wearing it with a shorter or tucked top, right?). Was it inexpensive? Could be a fun summer piece. I could see it with a blazer or a denim jacket too.

I do like the idea, but I don't think this is the perfect one. Too bulky and poofy up around the hips.

I'd look for an A-line rather than tiered--or a stitched down pleats. I had a skirt like that a long time ago and it made me feel like a hippy hippie (and I have no hips.) I really like your other white skirt. This one is going to be hard to make look polished (if that is a concern.) Just my 2 cents. I think you can do better!

I want to love it, but don't, sorry I like the idea a lot, especially with the black tank, but maybe something similar in a crisper material?

I like the idea of it but that gauzy fabric is hard to pull off. I vote pass.

I would like this more midi length. Maybe I'm saying that b/c my 18 year old wore her skirt just like this (saved from 5th grade) this past week, and it hits her more at midi length for a boho look.

Jeanne, your posture in the pics looks like you're not comfortable in it! I think DonnaF makes a good point about midi length. I agree that it looks better with your top covering the upper part of the skirt, but it does look like the tiers are a bit bunchy at the top. I've seen some similar skirts out and about that might have a longer, easier line -- my vote would be to keep looking.

I think with the tank covering the top it looks good. With the top up it seems like their is some kind of a mid-hip second elastic band? Maybe it's supposed to be worn higher or folded over?

I think it looks great in the second picture! Could you try styling it with a few other tops (untucked and longer to cover the weird part of the skirt) to see if it plays nicely with other items? Then decide, if it only works with this one. black. top., you should probably return it.

Style and length look age appropriate to me, but I like Boho.

I am so glad you got the sandals! They look amazing on your feet and legs, I think you will wear them a lot. Funny how sometimes the unplanned, non-necessities become what we reach for the most.

I think this has potential.I feelnit may need the top tipucked in and a crop denim jacket over it would look great. On the other hand agree that perhaps a aline sheer skirt or even a Sunday pleat sheer skirt might create more of the look you are going for.

Yes the one with the lifted tank does show some bulk. But otherwise the skirt is just too gorgeous. And yes its age appropriate too. I love your look in #2. Cool, causal chica.
