I like them both. I think the first one is very versatile whereas the second one looks more "difficult" - I agree with Jenni about it. I think you can wear ballet flats, high-heel pumps, sandals - in white, metallic, yellow, coral ...

Forgot to say, you look fab in a dress! You should wear them more often.

You look lovely in both. I’m agreeing with Sisi about the second one being less versatile. I’m speculating that the sheer quantity of pattern, combined with the difficulty of toppers to balance out the fullness of the skirt, makes it more of a special occasion (wear with a wrap or shrug) dress and not great with regular cardigans, dusters or denim jackets. If you model it with some toppers, it would be more clear to us, one way or another.

I can only echo what everyone else is saying - these look great! My favorite is the first one but if you think you would wear them both then I say keep!

I like both of these dresses and think you should keep them, they fit beautifully and are well worth having altered. I have some white slides that I wear with summer dresses like this and find them very comfortable. Another flat sandal that works well with summer dresses is a metallic lace up (both in finds).

Jenni, thank you. I love the first one and like the second one. Even though it might seem less like me, I already have a handkerchef hem dress. Okay, it’s all grey, so it does look like me, plus it’s shorter. I’ll have to think about this.

Sisi, thank you. I agree that the second one could be harder to wear. But I think my silver KorkEase sandals might work.

3style, oh you’re right - toppers! Hmmm.. Yes, the second one might be difficult. And here, in the evening, I always take a topper.

Robin, thank you.

Bijou, thank you. I love the idea of a white wedge. Good idea.

Toppers. I can see a blue denim jean jacket working nicely with the second dress and a white one with the first dress.

Both are great and I especially like the polka dot dress. I think it could go anywhere.

They are both lovely on you, and both are of different styles and vibes.
I woud wear the first one with the most simple flat footwear such as ballerinas. The second one would look good with mules or heeled strapy sandals.

I walk Sam in dresses and skirts with flats and sneaks ALL THE TIME

More love for #1. The style of both dresses looks amazing. You have a lovely figure.

Joy, thank you for your suggestions. I’m going to try the second one on with the denim jacket and see how it looks and feels.

Shevia, thank you. I think the first one will be versatile, too. The second one might be more dressy, which is okay, because sometimes that’s what you want.

Krishnidoux, thank you. Good ideas. I need to try them on with footwear and jackets.

Angie, why do I think Sam is better behaved than my pack of wild dogs?

Carla, thank you.

JAileen, I can agree on the first dress - it's great! The second has a lot of styling potential as well!

I love the first one. I think they are both keep!

Omg! How cute are you in these dresses? I love both of them on you.

I do agree that the one with the hankerchief hem dress needs some high-heeled sandals to make the proportions right. But that combo of beautiful prints and the way it fits you are so lovely, it seems worth the effort!

The first one looks perfect on you. I don't associate it with office wear (but of course it could be worn in an office, preferably with closed toe shoes and a jacket/cardigan). The second one appears kind of too long/heavy.

For the first dress, I suggest white sandals / slingbacks / ballet flats / low pumps.

Christina, thank you. I’ll play with the second one a bit.

Kristin, thank you.

Ryce, thank you. I hadn’t thought much about the length of the second dress. I’m not fond of wearing heels, but maybe wedges would work.

The Cat, thank you. I don’t have a job, but I didn’t want to buy office wear by accident. Your shoe suggestions sound good.

I love them both and would be tempted to keep them both. I like all the suggestions re footwear.

I have a handful (four) of midi summer dresses ranging from 1-5 years old. I love them all and wear them regularly with slides, tan leather sandals, sneakers, sandal boots or occasionally a dressier heel. There are one or two that I struggle with a topper over but luckily this summer was so warm I rarely needed one. I wear them for work in the office, work at home, errands around town, summer lunches or parties - pretty much any occasion to be honest!!

Sal, thank you. I love seeing how you wear your dresses, both dressed up and casually. I just need to try different shoes and toppers with the second one.
