Killer jacket from your killer hubs!

I know whiskering is not popular, but I kinda love it here. It creates the illusion of a slouchier fit even though they are slimmer cut as you've said.

Claire - I can definitely sag them a bit more by loosening the belt by one notch. Any more than that and they will fall off though!

BTW - I washed them last night (the pre-hemming wash) and they washed beautifully. I accidentally put them in the dryer, which I don't normally do with jeans, but they didn't shrink at all thank goodness. Just nicely softened up and now off to Wonder Woman they go.Will be hemming them for a 2" heel which encompasses most of my booties which will be my go-to footwear for these. I think that will also work with my Doc Marcies.

I'm actually thinking of ordering another pair of these jeans in my regular size as just a "normal" pair of denim. I really like the fit of these and the rise. What do you think?

Love the cobalt jacket...

About the jeans, I am going to be very direct, since I know you bat for team figure flattery. I don't hate them, I actually can see the sartorial, high fashion vein on them, but I do not think this particular pair of slouchy skinnies do your fab bod and tush any favors. You have pants and jeans that fit you 1000% better than this. You will be relinquishing figure flattery for the "look". If that's ok, then all systems go, as Rae would say.

I also think you have them too hiked up on the first pictures, I think they would look best if you slouch them down, that's why the pics with the jacket look much better IMO, because the jacket is sitting where the waist should lay.

I know Angie okeyed them so that counts a whole lot more than my opinion, but I believe this is a type of look that you really need to own, in order to look believable. Items not only need to look good but feel good. Do you feel good in them?

I thought I would bring this up, since you usually second guess this type of item. I think you have a strong preference for figure flattery but I could be wrong. Take my opinion with a super huge grain of salt.

ah, I see you washed them already, we are past return right now. I say, keep and enjoy!

Zap - I agree that I do have them hiked up a little high but they are a mid rise jean. Also note that my actual waist is extremely high so on me, these are sitting fairly low - but could be lower.

I feel fabulous in these jeans - much better than in my Gap Sexy BF's. I like the slimmer leg and the tush fit much more. Although I do bat for Team Figure Flattery, in this instance I am willing to forgo the traditional flattery aspect for an edgier more fun look.

For more classic pieces (like the BR camel dress trousers) or traditional jeans such as straight leg or bootcuts, figure flattery and perfect fit is of utmost importance to me. But for an item like this which a person wears for different reasons, I'm ok with them not making my butt look amazing - I'm wearing them for fun and for comfort.

Does that make any sense? I do appreciate you speaking up though, being honest and looking after me
