Late here, but I love it on you! Your plan for extending its wear sounds reasonable to me :)! Since you can layer underneath it, it seems like you could get several months of wear out of it.

Woah, the fact that you’ve been donating trenches make me wonder why you think you would wear this one.

Some of us move on from pieces before the end of their lifespan . Doesn’t mean you never wear one of whatever it is again .

@Fi: there are lots of reasons to donate - different size, outdated style, or just doesn’t make you feel good. This one that I passed on was in a colour that wasn’t particularly flattering, and a cheaper fabrication. I like elevated outerwear now and it’s an important part of my style, so I was willing to upgrade. As Lisa said, we all have different reasons and thresholds for donation.

Yay from me!

if you have a thin underpuff like the uniqlo ones, it might extend the season even further.

more colors and sizes in about a month or two. i can vouch for these and have worn them to a black tie dinner where the room was just.too.cold.

Thanks Roxanne. Those reasons make sense to me, much more than “I was bored with it”

I really like this on you! Fit looks good, and the style is unique.

Thanks so much all! I have such a hard time gauging so it helps.

@Fi I don’t think I ever said I was bored of it as my reason to donate. But for the record, I don’t think that’s an unacceptable reason to donate. I think if you have a small wardrobe and you wear things a lot, I can see donating because you get bored. Not to take this thread off track but I think you bring up an interesting topic that might deserve a thread in itself. I think we have to be careful to not be too judgy about why people donate; it is a personal decision based on so many things (wardrobe size, budget, personality etc) and when donated, other people benefit (I benefit hugely as so much of my wardrobe is thrifted!)
