Black is a no brainer for your low contrast coloring and persona, so why do you want to swear it off? Are you really tired of it, or is it just something that you think you should do? I would lighten up in spring because it is what people do. After the new wore off, I was stuck with a bunch of stuff that didn't thrill me. Last year I looked at my 3 favorite tops, they were all black. My lightbulb went off, I don't have to be all people, I have to be Cheri. The happy has never been higher.
