It's been a successful NAS for me in the toppers and knitwear departments (less so in footwear, but you can't have everything). However, I'm still undecided about these Mother jeans. Here are some slightly-better pics - my SO took them from his computer and refused to get up to retake against a white wall, unfortunately, so you get a glimpse of my messy house.
Pic #3 is how I would probably style, with an untucked top. Bonus: the backordered floral Adidas track jacket arrived today, and I love it! Fit is surprisingly slim and petite-friendly. I know this jacket has been sold out since forever but maybe there will be popbacks since it runs a little small.
Really, I need advice on how to style high-rise jeans! I don't think they are flattering on me with a fully tucked top as in photos #1/2. My favorite kind of pant fit is a high back rise and a low (8") front rise; these Mother jeans are great in the back but the 10" front rise has me flummoxed. They're amazingly not uncomfortable as I tend to associate with high rise bottoms, but I feel like there must be something more I can do with them besides covering up the rise... I have a long torso and all of my button-downs and blouses, fitted for my normal denim preferences, are too long to just half-tuck in the front.
What I do like about the jeans: very comfortable, flattering back view, cool hem detail that is actually short enough for my short legs. I'm neutral on the even blue wash.
Keep or return? If keep, how should I style these jeans?
