Amy, it is awful. I hadn't realized how bad it was until I heard that - at a certain point, misery is misery - what's another 10 degrees of freezing?

Marley, there are a lot of these styles out there right now - I'll see if I can find some links!

Swooning over the shoes *happy sigh*

The shirt, jeans and oxfords are so very 90's in the best possible way. I love a soft yet boxy shirt!

Oh I love them! I think we are all having a 1987 day! These shoes would be the bomb with my new skirt

Definitely keep.

Anna, what would you suggest for spray to avoid ruining the finish?

Take them to a cobbler, otherwise ask at the Nordie's shoe department. They're Novia spray that Nordie's sell is good. I think clear shoe polish would dull it.
But I just found this

But this seems legit

So cute and PERFECT for you!

I really like this! Now I am wanting a pair of loafers as well.

Coming back to offer some style suggestions:

80s look a la The Romantics:
very fitted black skinny jeans
a long simple black jacket (tuxedo or just a simple, low stance blazer)
a shiny bright silk or woven shirt (bright blue or red, etc)
a messy men's tie

Iggy Pop:
a men's worn t-shirt with a lower neckline
skinny or striaght leg jeans, maybe rolled a few times to really show the shoes
a men's belt (worn a bit) or really simple belt.
stacks of funky edgy bracelets
leather jacket

serious love for these shoes. must KEEP!

Denise, thank you! These shoes are spinning out a whole fantasy life for me, involving nightclubs, scotch and Velvet Underground playing live.

I really like the style! It's a little hard for me to get used to how bright they are. Cute on you though. I think my feet would look way huge (I wear 9 1/2)

So cool! I love that the color isn't a standard silver/gold/antique silver. It's a really unique shade that I can't think how to describe. You pull these off well. Keep!

Since they have a lot going on, I would pair them with something simple and classic, like black pants and turtleneck, and let the shoes be in the focus. But I am not the expert here.

They are beautiful on you! I like them with what you are wearing for a casual day. I can see them being dressy too. I love Angie's question of how you will wear them to work.

I love them, Una! The metallic shade and all that fab detailing make them really unique, and they feel very you.

And you're right, they would look terrific with my slouchy trousers:-))
(but maybe less so on my size 8 1/2 - 9 feet...)

Total Love! Well I wear very mannish shoes that make these look like ballerina slippers. Kidding!! (Sort of.) Really I adore these.

I think they are gorgeous and I can totally see them working with pants, shorts, *and* skirts (think of straight, pencil-type skirts at or just above the knee). I LOVE them!

Oooh, Shiny! With 9.5 sized feet, I'll have to enjoy these shoes on you -- with what I've seen of your style they'll fit well with your other fab pieces. Enjoy, and dream of Spring!

Una, they are gorgeous and unique. They are not guy shoes - they are princess shoes (UWPrincess to be precise :0)
I have worn my oxfords with skinnies and with skirts. I like them and don't care that on my size 12 feet they may look like guy shoes. Who said I need to by like Cinderella?!

Sveta, you ROCK!

Jonesy, love the inspiration photos. That last one n the shades looks like YOU! I think you should try that look or something like it.

I totally love those! Oxfords are one of my favorite styles to begin with, but the metallic finish makes them out of this world.

These are gorgeous.

Stunning! I don't think it be very productive if I were wearing those shoes at work. I'd keep looking down at my feet all day, admiring them.
