I picked this up during after-Christmas clearance, drawn to the zig-zags and contrasting trim, thinking it could be a good light spring jacket, and possibly double as an indoor topper in the winter. There are times when I'm finding I'd like to wear my white denim jacket, but it feels seasonally confused to do so, and thought this might be an alternative. I was also hoping this would skew a bit more polished than a denim jacket, but I'm not sure that it does.

It's a loose-weave cotton jacquard, quite stretchy, so not much structure. It almost reads more as a cardigan than a jacket? Which is what's making me hesitate. It's open front, but if I keep I'll probably sew on a little vintage clasp a bit more than halfway up -- the contrasting trim makes a flattering x-shape when it's held closed like that.

Not showing it styled here, just thrown on over today's outfit. Oh -- and sleeves are a bit narrow, not ideal for layering over long sleeves (which is what I'm doing here) -- this is one of my denim jacket's constraints too. Does it seem versatile or special enough to keep?
