K/R: before my return window closes

The kids are at school and I have the day off so I'm seeking the collective wisdom of the YLFabbers:) I bought these Ivanka Trump OTK boots after returning the Blondo Elenors (photo 4.) (Angie gave them a thumbs up but the gapping and winging of the Blondos at the top made me hesitate.) These fit much better but I want to make sure that I'm not missing something. The second item is the Gap denim vest which I'm considering as a replacement for my Hinge vest which always seems too cropped. The third item is the Athleta puffy jacket. JFE? It's comfy and has zippered pockets which I love.

I'm also going to post my week of WIWs. Nothing exciting but glad that some old favorites got to come out and play (Nic&Zoe blazers in various colors.) Oops, need to add from my phone.

ETA: I'm only wearing the boots with the light wash for fit/viewing purposes. I'd likely stick to darker jeans.

The fit of the IT boots looks really good Kelly - are they true OTK boots? They seem like they hit you right in the middle of your knee cap in the front. As long as they aren't uncomfortable or in the way when you sit, I think these are good. I love the nice slim fit in the ankle and calf.

The light wash of the denim vest is lovely - great color. I quite like the boxy fit and think this will work really well with your wardrobe.

Puffy jacket is a great length and nice fit. Assuming it does up comfortably and can accommodate a layer underneath? If so, I say keep.

I like the 3 items. The puffer is JFE to my eye but it might be my personal taste.

@Shannon: Thank you! I think they were listed as OTK but you are right--they are only almost past my knee. I wasn't sure if that made a difference or not--whether that makes them look ill fitting. I'd likely only wear these with skinnies and only very occasionally with a sack dress sans tights. Perhaps I will take a closer look at my knees and see whether the height is problematic.
@Celia: Thank you. This jacket is perfect for layering. I've been looking for something similar but haven't found anything that wasn't *too* puffy.

I like the boots but if you have qualms about them, they may not be the ones. I kept a pair that I wasn't 100% about and only wore them twice. Boo. I like the vest a lot. To me puffers are about being warm and not fashionable. Having said that, I think it is cute on you.

I really like the denim on denim too. Its hard to imagine that it wasn't so many years ago that people were arguing about whether denim could be paired with denim. You proved that it can.

The otk are not going otk! But they look nice as knee highs.
For the puffer, have you checked Costco. They have them at my Costco (Canada) for $42 . It's a good quality down too. Let me check... Ok, 675 fill power and 90/10 down. Anyway, it just seemed like a steal to me. The only thing is that it has a hood and your athleta one doesn't. To me, all puffy jackets look roughly the same, so I'm just throwing out this Costco idea in case you are thinking about deals.

I like the t-shirt and sweats look!

I agree that the boots aren't OTK, but they do look great on you. Definite keepers! And I like the puffy jacket. I am not sure puffers are conventionally flattering on anyone, but outerwear doesn't have to be IMO. I think it looks great on you. I also love the Tsubo sandals. I will leave the vest opinions to others, as I am not a vest kind of person.

I think the items look good, but I am wondering about the boot fit too. They seem to slouch a little. Is that how these are supposed to be? Maybe that slouch brings them down from above the knee.

Thanks, Fabbers! I can be fickle but at this point I think I’m keeping the boots. It;s almost a relief that the Elenors are no longer available. Makes the “choice” much easier. I cut the tags on the vest and am ready to do so on the puffer as well.

Thanks, cheryle! There were fit issues on the Blondo (if only in my head) but these I quite like. I’ve learned my lesson about keeping something I had doubts about--donating sometimes without even wearing. I think these are keepers. Thanks for the reassurance on the other items!

@Smittie: Thanks! The only puffers I saw at Costco were the stuffable kind--they stuff into a nylon sack. This jacket seems much better quality and has functional pockets but thanks for the heads up!

@Tania: These boots do slouch a little bit. It seems all of them do--even the Blondos. However, I don’t think that’s affecting the height. I think these are just on the short side for OTK which is kind of funny considering I’m only 5’3”.

Just came back from a trip so I am late to this thread and won't comment on the main things. But I remember your post on the black sandals and really like the Tsubos, they look very, very good in your picture. Are they true to size? Comfortable? Several hours comfortable? I might order them too (there is only one pair left in my regular size, so I wanted to be sure that I am ordering the correct ones). Thanks!

@chouette: The Tsubos are very comfortable for a wedge heel. They are not as comfy as a flat though. They are true to size--I am usually always a 7 and these are no exception. I wish they were a touch wider in the front strap but I think they will loosen up with a little more wear. Hope that helps.
