Please ignore the awful hair. It has been one of those weekends where I wonder how children can be so naughty and how they can scream and cry so much or so loudly. Dress came on Thursday and this was the first chance I had to try it on.

Pros: I like the colors. It has length. It is comfortable. DH loves it.

Cons: I don't think it is very flattering although DH loves it. I sort of wonder if it is the best of a lot in a long time rather than a 10 on its own. DH wanted me to post it to see what you fab ladies thought before I returned it

I only want to keep 9.5s or better, so looking for your honest opinion on if this dress makes that cut.

I love the colours and pattern on you Thistle but I'm wondering if it's a bit too tight across the bust?

Thistle I like the dress a lot. I think the colour and pattern is really very lovely. To me it doesn't have quite the wow factor of your wrap dresses. Are the sleeves/armholes too big or is it part of the style that they 'flutter' a little?

Hmmm I assumed the sleeves were intentional and I didn't notice the bust pulling until Shannon mentioned it - the pattern hides it very well. That said I'm not in *love* with it and it doesn't sound like you are either.

The pattern and colour are lovely, but the first thing I see is the pulling across the bust.

I think this is beautiful on you, but I also see the pulling across the bust. The question is: does that take off half a point or a full point?

I'd say pass on this one. To me the pattern is fighting with the seaming on the dress. The colours are nice though.

I also noticed the pulling in the bust area, and I think the seam in the front takes away from the flow of the pattern. I don't think it's a 9.5, close maybe, but I would return. I like your wrap dresses so much better.

Oh......I know that look in your eye. I remember that one. On those days, I was so glad DH works at home. I would make an unscheduled trip to the gym, or to Target; anything to get a moment to regroup! I hope you wake tomorrow up to a grand smile and cuddle!

Where do you envision wearing this dress?

Would you pull it out tomorrow, bypassing the other dresses in your closet, thinking, "Oh yeah, I get to wear this!"

I'm using these two questions with my purchases. Sometimes it's helpful.

As for the dress, I love the vibrant colors, but I think the fit is an 8, and the cut is an 8 on you. Of course, I sometimes grade on a curve! I love the idea of a bright floral for you!

I love the pattern and colours on this dress so much!! That was what I noticed first, and I was in love with it for you! Then I noticed the slight pulling on the bust. But you know, I really love this so much that I would almost be tempted to see if you could size up -- or if there is any wiggle room in the seams there to make a tiny adjustment.

I agree with everyone else that the wrap style is your friend. And it looks truly lovely on you. At the same time, a woman likes a bit of variety (or this woman does -- maybe I shouldn't make assumptions about you, LOL). And this fit and flare seems similar enough to flatter while different enough to provide a change.

In other words, I am with Mr. Thistle in thinking this one has real potential, and I would like to find a way to make it a 10. In my mind, it's really high on the scale already.

PS sorry it has been a rough weekend with the wee one. I remember those days SOOOOOO well.

I love the colors and pattern and think they are beautiful on you. But there are some fit issues so it may be worth trying a different size or different undergarmets (for me a different bra often changes the fit).

I love, love, love the print. Maybe size up and see what happens? Dresses without stretch are a lot harder to fit.

Am I late to the chase? Regardless, I love the colour, but I think the combination of the loud print, and shiny fabric, the pulling across the boobs don't really work for me, maybe at best a 7, and if you're looking for 9.5's, take it back. You have much more fab things

The watercolor print and colors are beautiful. I'm not sure about the fit. How do you feel in the dress happiness-wise? If you can't wait to wear it out, it's a keeper. If you have reservations, return and wait for a better one.

Love it one you! But I agree with comments about the pulling across breast issue and flapping sleeves issue. Maybe an easy alteration would correct this. The dress is so gorgeous and you just glow in it.

I like the length, cut, and colors of the dress on you, but if you don't love it, try a different size maybe.

I had a similar week with my two little boys. /: I wish I knew how to teach them to be patient and content.

The first thing that I noticed were the sleeves. They cannot make up their mind if they are going to be sleeveless or short-sleeved. They're just kind of sort of hanging a little bit off of your shoulders - and it looks as though they gap around the front of your arm-pits. That would be a deal-breaker for me. As far as the print and the colors go - I think its very flattering on you! However, the way that seam in the front breaks up the pattern kind of bothers me. I don't know Thistle - maybe try a different size? - or, like others have suggested - try a different bra? Somthing is just not right about the fit across the shoulders/chest area.

I like it on you! But am confused about the sleeves. Are they intentional flutter sleeves or are the armholes too big, explaining the extra fabric? I didn't notice any pulling around the bust.

Love the color and pattern, but see some pulling at chest and I'm not so sure about fit around armholes, but maybe that can be adjusted? And what Beth Ann said.

Those kiddos are a challenge (at any age), but that also the greatest reason to love them back and show affection anyway. But it can be sooo hard, I know. A little "time out" for parents could release the stress. When things get too tough I leave the room for a little while & breathe deeply, then come back with a better mind and better behavior

I love this dress on you. I didn't notice the pulling until it was mentioned... maybe a different bra would work? Because I really really like it. It's free spirited and flattering.
