I have two jacket for all of you to see. I am not sure I want to keep either one.

# 1,2,3 - An Angie recommended jacket. In my NoRepeat November series, I stated that my work at home wear needed to be taken up a notch and the recommendations were knit jackets in case I need to lay down. I ordered it in the large and the reviews say it runs big but I do not see that. The reviews also state that it pulls when snapped, as you can see, it does. It is a terry type material with unfinished edges, and is definitely soft and comfy.

#4,5,6 is a cocoon jacket from H & M. It is a poly blend that looks like a rough silk. I asked for advise on it from a gal in line and she thought I needed a smaller size. The size down was tight around my hips, so that was not an option. She told me I looked little in it, so naturally it came home with me. Should I keep it? It would be very good for wearing on the plane and such as I would not be afraid of losing it because of the cost.

1 I like the idea of, but the fit doesn't look right. Closed, it pulls and open it looks too baggy; it's like it's too long or something as well.

2 I actually like a lot - it references the cocoon trend and the fabric is nice. I can see this being really handy for traveling.

Same as Laura. 1. Looks so comfortable but like it isn't fitting quite right. I like it worn open best.
2. I vote keep. It looks like a great example of a cocoon jacket and looks great on you.

I like #2 better than #1, but esp. since you seem ambivalent about both, I think you can do better particularly if you want 10s.

#1 looks a bit fussy to me. #2 looks super comfy. Is it soft or scratchy?

Neither of these makes you sparkle in the photos. I do like 2 better than one, and would liek it for upscale loungewear, but I don't know if it's really taking your look up a notch.

Echoing Sona - return both. I prefer #2 on you but as ATLynn said, it doesn't make you sparkle...

Scratchy would be a deal killer for me, but I may be a tad overboard on that issue. Are you good with it?

I'm not superexcited about either coat, but I am also a pretty classic dresser. So I have a harder time with oversized fits, man coats, and the like---they always look "off" to me.

I do prefer coat 2 to coat 1, but it seems to cut you in half. Are proportions important to you when dealing with coats? I think the coat would have to be a little bit longer so that the coat covers about 2/3 of your height.

Carter, I actually thought it was a Tussah silk. I think I will try styling it with a pencil skirt.

I like #1 better by a mile. It does look more like 'kick around the house on a Saturday fall afternoon' than a coat coat, if you know what I mean. If you have need for that, I'd keep it. If you really don't and are just looking for a way to make it work, I'd return.

To be fair, I'd like to see #1 pulled straight in the front and back. And a smaller size may have been better too.

Sorry to say it, but I'm leaning toward return for both. #1 looks too big, and though I really like the fabric and color of #2, I think the fit is off.

Deb, I posted about a knit jacket from Nic & Zoe that's at Nordstrom right now on yesterday or Thursday - might be a good option for your knit jacket search if you're still looking.

I like #2, a great shape that looks comfy and a nice neutral that will work with other colours. It looks like a good fit.
I like #1 too, but something about the fit is not right.

Thank you all for the help. I am going to send them both back. They are not 10's and this year I want all 10's added to the wardrobe.

Good move, primarily because my impression is you don't like them. #2 is workable but I feel I would like to see you I. That style but in a solid colour?

I like 1 better than 2 myself - the way the shoulder seams hit, 2 looks a bit like you're wearing someone else's clothes that are a bit too big. That would annoy me terribly ... but of course it's about what you will wear and enjoy!
