Hello ladies,

I've been trying very hard to read at least the blog regularly as a form of fencing off some personal space in the general shortage of me-time, but as I mentioned in a few posts I managed to write in recent months I'm short of a few hours every day, there's simply so much on my plate. All is well, we're healthy and happy, but juggling everything has me stretched very thinly.

I love my job. It has its stressful moments, but those are manageable; it's a long commute, but the team and my project are amazing, and I have no intentions of changing anything any time soon. However, I was hoping to cut some hours at some point (I work full time), but we've been reorganised a few months ago and my new team lead is someone who's located in another town, and I see him so rarely, that I had no hopes of starting the topic of reducing hours any time soon. Well, today the conversation with my team lead's right hand (not formally deputy, but the person is sort-of looking after those of us at my location) spontaneously went in the direction of my plans and wishes, and later in the day I was told that my wishes were relayed to the team lead who said he saw no immediate obstacles in me cutting hours, but he'll look into it for our meeting next week when he'll be at our location. His approval is just one step in resolving the issue, but very important one. I'm working on presenting a few key arguments to back up my request. Please keep your fingers crossed that it goes well.
