Absolute score! So glad you found 'the one'

What the heck! Keep it woman!

Oh my gosh, why on earth would you not keep??? Keep.

It looks wonderful on you. The color suits you. The collar and hood look great. If it doesn't pull around the bottom when you walk in it with the zipper closed (a problem I once had with a long coat), I say keep!

Definitely a keeper.

Ornella, you are the same height as my DH, so now I know what your fit issues must be like!

Ornella, I don't see how there could be any doubt. KEEP!
This is YOUR coat!

I'm singing with the choir, sister, this is a keeper! The only possible drawback would be if the zipper doesn't open at both ends, which can be restrictive while sitting.

This looks fantastic on you! Keep! I did a double take with your hair on pic 3, your bob looks longer but it's the coat's hood I realized. Very pretty.

You know you're gonna keep it! It's perfect! Just rip the tags and start wearing it so there's no buyers remorse! There's nothing to remorse over any way, it looks great on you.

Ohmigosh. Yes. Cut the tags! That coat is great.

Keeping, keeping

This is one of those items I've wanted for long enough -- and I knew exactly what i wanted -- not to settle for anything but the absolute winner.

Almost like "Is it too good to be true?"

I love it, hubby loves it, I wanted to make sure it gets your seal of approval too

Thank you.

p.s.

Sveta :: thanks. Long ago someone converted the height for me and why didn't I bother to double check is anyone's guess.

Shannon :: 6ft

Ornella, are you concerned it's TOO long? It's so very flattering on you and appears to fall right at the tops of your boots. The sleeve length is perfect, even when you raise your arms; it complements your waist, and it's super warm. I vote keep!

Glad you are keeping the coat it looks fab on you.

I think all the ladies have already said it!

It looks gorgeous on you. love the fur trim, the sleek chevron quilting.
and your height!!

How the heck can someone look so absolutely beautiful in a black, long, puffer coat????? So glad you are keeping this O! And so glad that you are happy with it! (it shows!)

I don't understand your initial hesitation. When I read your heading, I was worried about the harshness of black, but then the fur collar completely removed that concern. So glad you're keeping this coat. It would be a maxi on me!

I'm with Marley. I had no idea someone could look so amazing in long, black PUFFER coat. You took a style that most people only wear because they have to (for warmth) and turned it into a great look. Truly amazing, and I am so glad you are keeping!

Piling on to say it's gorgeous and you're gorgeous! I only wish I was tall enough to pull off the long puffer look so beautifully

If you don't keep this, I am going to cry...loudly

I am so happy that you found your long warm coat and look stunning in it!

It actually looks trim! Very lovely on you.

PPP for the win! This looks wonderful and I'm so happy that you got exactly what you wanted! What a great way to look forward to the cold!

Thanks again everyone. I have a bit more time to respond to your feedback.

This coat is one true example of PPP. Bug, big thanks to Astrid for letting me know about it, her search for her coat had resulted with both of us ending up with a great outerwear to keep us warm.

I'm not sure how affiliates work with linking to non-US site, but for those interested, the coat is by Esprit. Available to Europeans, I'm not sure about the rest of the world. Here is the link to the product.

Sveta :: Sadly, the tag does not show the price in CAD. But, for future reference, another European brand worth keeping an eye on which does cater for tall proportions in their regular clothing (i.e. n special Tall line or anything, just their regular stuff is cut well for our height) is Mexx. I know the prices on Mexx's tags show the CAD equivalent too, so my guess is it's available on your market.

Astrid :: now I have a better idea of how tall you are You are right too, the belt placement is great. I guess in my case I'm just lucky with that detail, because it is so different from person to person where the waist is and this simply fits where it should. Btw, this coat still didn't come to my local Esprit, so thank you again for the heads up because I would have certainly missed it. Some sizes are already sold out on-line.

Mander :: I completely agree. Sometimes, you just want functional piece of clothing. But in this coat I got both - functional and pretty. Win-win

Btw, Suz, if not wearing nice new things is a way to bring you over, I'm off to do some shopping…

Pam :: I had to laugh at Dr. Zhivago. You are so right… Should I nickname this my Lara coat.

Catnip :: thanks for the great tip. This is exactly the aspects of buying a coat like this that would never cross my mind without someone mentioning it. I have 'tested' the coat after reading your comment and from what I can tell I should be OK. Thanks again.

Una :: oh yes, the challenges of dressing a tall body!

pil :: the zipper does open at both ends. Thank you for bringing that detail to my attention.

Windchime :: I was not considered about it being too long, just whether I'm considering every aspect I should before keeping it. I wanted a long coat exactly like this one for a long time.

AJ :: Indeed, a great way to look forward to the cold. We've just had the first snowflakes of the season yesterday...

I didn't even have to look at all of the pictures. This is fantastic! The length looks perfect to me, and the coat manages to look elegant -- not always the first thing that comes to mind when you think of puffers.

The perfect length, finally! Hurrah!! And it's perfect in every other aspect too!! So glad you found your puffer coat, Ornella!! ENjoy!-)

No problem, Ornella! I'm glad I could help. The Esprit stores in Berlin are fairly large, but I already ordered online all the same. I've gotten used to checking the "new in" rubric on the website regularly to see if there's something I want to try.

LOVE LOVE LOVE so KEEP KEEP KEEP!:-)

Love it has a hood, and a fur on the collar! Love the sleek cut! Love it has a belt, so still gives you a waist! Love the long length, the color(black always dressy) and the diagonal stiching, too!

I have one almost similar puffer and I love it for casulas but dress it shameless for dressier events, too- if it's really cold, windy or a big snow!

Happy dance for you, Ornella!
