Sarah--I hesitated to mention it. I really love cozy cabled sweaters, but probably the most flattering one I have is mid-thigh length and shaped through the torso. It is a cardigan with a tie-waist. Might be a cozy yet shapely solution. Even though I don't think there is anything wrong with the sweater the way you styled it.
