Juxtaposition has been on Angie’s trends posts for many seasons now, and I love it in theory, on the runway, and as style inspiration. I struggle to make it work for myself in real life. I think it takes such a knack or a well-trained eye or both to create a harmonious blend of contrasts like dressy/casual, tough/delicate, etc. My efforts often feel unbalanced. Street style pics don’t help because the looks are so often bonkers- they leap into extreme seasonal confusion, like chunky wool sweaters over mesh skirts. I’d love to hear ideas for juxtaposition formulas that work!
