Just painted the bedroom ~ is it working?

Inspired by a Joules carrier bag I have given the bedroom a mini makeover (BUT a bedroom is quite a bit larger than a carrier bag) and I am starting to doubt my choices, what do you think? Please feel free to be honest it is only paint

It looks pretty! Is it more apple green, as it appears in the photos, or more yellow, like the picture of the bag? Either way, it goes beautifully with the linens, and I think it looks very nice. I only have a couple of years of interior design training, but I approve.

The colour of the walls is a little more yellow based than the photographs Janet. Thank you for the reassurance.

The linens are from UK supermarket ASDA (which is owned by Walmart )and cost the grand sum of £13.00. Hopefully they will last a laundry cycle.

The bedding is just lovely. I never thought I'd like brown in a bedroom, but when B. and I moved in we used his chocolate brown duvet cover with the burgundy accents I had in my last bedroom, and it's worked beautifully.
I like the brown drapery on the wall behind the bed, too.

Jean, I don't know where you find the time to combines consulting with teaching. I am glad you approve.

Kari, the drapes are covering the floor to ceiling stained glass window. The colour is a cross between bitter chocolate brown and aubergine (eggplant in the US) and is shot through with a gold sheen. I think I could take 100 photos and fail to capture the colour. I really like the sound of the brown and burgundy room.

That looks very much like the color of my sofa and my entryway, so I love it. I like it with the brown and pink too. It looks great!

I painted my bedroom that color too! It's relaxing for me. Most furniture is white except the original shelves, which are a light brown wood. And we got green polka dot curtains and green boxes to go along with the walls!
