Thanks, Angie! It was fun to play around.

I just bought a long burgundy puffer.

NICE! Excited to see it.

Random thought, scrolling through the collection. Not sure why this should be the case, but I’m more drawn to the pics with hip length jackets and half tucks. Proportions seem to work better on you than the longer cardigans.

Thanks, Angie.
And thank you, approprio -- I wrestle with this because I do like some of the shorter looks from the front, but the 3D me is a different story.

I have really never worn the leopard cardi as it is heavy and a bit short. I love the colour and drape of the other, but because it is a bit fitted at the waist I don't know if it is my very best silhouette. I usually feel that longer straight cardigans do a better job of reducing the brick on sticks effect of my back view -- very broad rectangular body atop think, knock-kneed legs. It's not as obvious from the front.

That's not me being hard on myself or overly critical. It's just the way it is. It's like saying I can't put an 8' couch agains that wall because the wall is only 7' long.

I am very very late here but had to pop in to say how much I love this! Every bit of it! The lilac pants with the cumin and ochre are amazing! Also lilac, cumin, and burgundy are a fab mix!

Thanks Suz! Going nowhere but having fun playing dress up in preparation for "someday"!

Please don't take this the wrong way, but all those colours in your updated tryouts session remind me of a classy furniture store - the first 4 have a little splash of 'modern' thrown in with the lilac pants (to answer your original question, a light purple jade bangle could look nice as a lilac accessory too) but the rest still exude a sort of classy playfulness, if that makes sense? Rich & warm, but also inviting instead of stodgy

Thanks, Zaeobi. That's a descriptor I haven't heard before! I will happily take 'classy playfulness' as I definitely try not to take myself or my clothing too seriously.

You will find me further pondering the furniture store metaphor over by the upholstery fabrics.

Ditto what Suz said! I really love all of these and your scarf collection is beautiful and pulls everything together so nicely. Your wardrobe (or at least this capsule) is very cohesive without being staid, IYKWIM.

Love the color combo with the burgundy! I like the first from the next set a lot too!
Try it with teal

Thank you, Jonesy and suntiger! And yes, teal would be great! (on my list of colours to add!)

Wow, that workshop surely demonstrates the versatility of the top, and your wardrobe, frankly. I do love the fist outfits with the lilac pants. I’m with approprio regarding the shorter top/toppers looking neater and trimmer. (I know you love your long cardigans *sorry* I think your shape is fab.)

Thanks, Carla. I know how you feel about my beloved "Maude" cardigans LOL!!! FWIW, I haven't really worn one of those long cardigans since March 2020.

Someday I'll get bold enough to take a photo of the back view -- Brick on two little (knock kneed) sticks!

When I do go out these days it's mostly in my short black puffer, so there ya go!

It's so weird to think of my wardrobe as being versatile while also knowing that most of it either already doesn't fit or please G-d won't fit at all by spring. Hopefully I will be able to use the same principles to build again.
