J Jill pants - laundering question

I bought these pants in the sangria color, and the fit is perfect (I ordered a regular misses size 6 to get the length I want, which is a little longer than the ankle length shown).

The laundering label says they can be machine washed and dried, which is great, but can I trust they won't shrink? I'm new to J Jill, so I'm not sure what to expect from their pants. I'd love to throw 'em in the dryer, but will air dry if anyone says there's a chance of shrinkage. Thanks.

Cute pants! With a cotton and spandex fibre content , I'd recommend a quick fluff in the dryer and then hang to dry.

I agree with LisaP - 2 or 3 minutes in the dryer just to warm them through and release any wrinkles, and then hang to dry.

Thanks. That's what I thought about doing, but needed affirmation that it'll be okay for them to go in the dryer for a little while, as you suggest.

i dont have those pants but some shirts, etc from j jill
i would wash on cold on gentle/delicate then hang to dry then when almost dry throw in dryer on airfull or dewrinkle...just my 2 cents

No more than a couple minutes! I have several of these. I toss them in for a couple minutes to shake out some of the wrinkles, then hang to dry.

Thanks, lisaflex. It's good to hear from someone who has more experience with J Jill clothes. I've done that air fluff trick on other things. Too bad I forgot to hang up that tencel shirt. I accidentally dried it with the rest of my load, and it shank--even though I was using a low heat cycle. At least my DD can wear it, but still...

I wash all of my slacks. I never use the dryer though. I am tall and even one-half inch shrinkage would upset me. I hang to dry. My system works well and the clothes seem to look like new for a lot longer.

I don't mind hanging most pants to dry, but I don't do that with my jeans because they're too stiff when air dried.

I don't have experience with j jill but I never dry anything! A few minutes on a no heat setting is the most I'll do. It's the dryer that wears clothes out.

Like I said, I air dry most of my clothes. I can't stand stiff jeans, though. Just saying. And my HOA doesn't allow clotheslines.

jeans dont have to be stiff..lol...just hang to dry. then when almost dry, throw in dryer on dewrinkle or airfluff on low heat for 10 mins. no shrinkage.

I don't have enough space to hang all my clothes, and I can't do laundry every night of the week. I hang what I can, and dutifully air dry all of my sweaters flat. The jeans just have to go in the dryer; I dry them on low heat, though, and so far no obvious shrinkage.
