I personally love stripes. But I wanted to mention there could be other ways to insert small amounts if stripes. I'm thinking of a shirt I have that is polka dotted, with cuffs that are lined with stripes. So if I wore it with the cuffs turned back, I'm pattern mixing polka dots and stripes. Maybe something like that could work for you.
