Thank you ALL for being gracious and kind on this thread. It's put a BIG smile on my face. The community's camaraderie and engagement shines through is a good way

I am reminded many times a day of items and looks that are signature to your styles!

Bijou, welcome to Team White & Blush Footwear!

I have now 2 pairs of Converse and looking for more - thanks, Angie & RunCarla. Bought a first pair of white sneakers last year, also thanks to Angie’s influence.

I have been influenced too. I fell in love with (& bought) the Bao Bao bag thanks to you!
There are a great many people on here I share a slice of style with & I definitely look at some of my items (or see things online) and get reminded of folks here.

Wonderful uplifting thread! I know exactly what you mean. And your new turquoise dress is perfect!

I saw a jewelry shop yesterday called Bijoux and a Furla store and thought of yourself and Angie!

What an awesome post and thread.
Given the current world situation, it’s nice to think about how we’re still all connected, via fashion

ETA, it made me smile, which is good

Staysfit - thankyou for your beautiful post, your items are lovely and so true to your style - as well as the person that inspired them.

Roxanna - it was a fun exercise, although to be honest, I am sure I left out many people and items - these were just my more recent additions.

Janet - whenever I wear saturated blues I always think of you and Suz. When I wear snazzy boots, I think of JenniNZ!

Angie - I cannot imagine ever going back to team black footwear and handbags - I am sure that was just a phase I went through in the 90's.

Irina - white footwear looks so great on you too.

Jenna - I hope you love your Bao Bao - I certainly get lots of use from mine. One of the things I love most about them is how lightweight they are. My days of lugging around large heavy bags are definitely numbered.

Sal - I know that jewellery chain and I always think of my lovely departed doggie whenever I see Bijoux store. I was lucky to be able to share her with you all on the forum (and Miss Margot too).

Anna - so glad that this thread made you smile. As a front line health worker I am sure that last year has been horrendous. Thank you for everything you do.

Oh, yess! My list is too long, but what about me adding I can recognize your threads all by only looking at your cover picties posted on the forum even if not wearing my reading specs! I can identify your posture, style and backgrounds first, faces are the last I can make out, obviously, haha:-)).

Aww this is such a lovely thread! Even though I'm rather physically removed from most of you on this forum, you have all subconsciously inspired my style in so many ways:

I feel like @Brooklyn & @Suntiger are the stylish Deep Autumn Twins (or DA, as @Suntiger calls it) that show me that it's ok to rely on dark neutrals that aren't black - even in the summer

@Bijou, you & @Katerina consistently inspire me with your elegant style - my newly thrifted collection of silk pussybow blouses is in part due to your wonderful outfits made from such blouses (especially @Katerina's pairings with brooches!) It's a pity that the HK protests & then COVID have got in the way of me wearing them as regularly these days, but it still makes me smile to see them hanging in a rainbow when I open up my closet

@Jenni NZ & @FashIntern you both have taught me to be more fearless with fashion too - & that fun prints can be worn at any age! I've picked up a few more patterned scarves & tops these days with you both in mind too

And @Deborah your stunning use of black & architectural draping has inspired me to separate out my blacks into a more 'intentional' capsule wardrobe too - I'm no longer worried that volume & draping will somehow look 'wrong' on my short & curvy body. Representation really does matter!

Despite following the blog for even longer, I distinctly remember first posting on this forum back in 2013, because I was panicking about losing my suitcase en route to moving to Brazil (buying clothes in a completely new country in a new language was quite the sartorial challenge)! I've definitely come a long way since then (I vaguely remember asking the forum where to find a cropped grey blazer lol) but I still have a ways to go (I'm planning to photograph my Finds this summer, so I can document my evolution with you all more readily). So here's to hoping we continue to inspire one another in the future too

Lyn67 - yes, we do tend to take our photos in the same place and stand in a similar way! Angie gets first prize for the most energetic and fun poses.

Zaeobi - It is so lovely having you on the forum to provide inspiration to us all. I have my wardrobe in Finds and it is so very helpful to keep track of what I have.

Bijou, first of all, you look gorgeous in that dress and what a smart recommendation from Brooklyn! Lovely!

This whole thread has made me smile. I have twinned so many times with so many Fabbers and been inspired by so many more, I don't even think I could list them all...but if I get a bit of time this evening, I will give it a try, because I definitely owe a huge debt to you all. I love the way Staysfit put it -- even if I haven't copied someone, I have usually learned something from her and adapted the practice to my own closet.
