All the wardrobe retrospectives, plus Tanya's discussion of her pants, and Suz's thoughts on wardrobe thoroughbreds have gotten me thinking about a sort of perennial autumn issue: finding pants that are not jeans but do not look like office pants or gym clothes. I have often gotten sucked into the idea of "these gray wool pants will go with everything" but I just don't end up wearing said pants.
I pretty much always default to jeans in the cooler months. I would like to have something alternative and interesting (like not black ponte pants) that doesn't look like office wear (maybe an unusual pattern) and that will stand up to a half-hour dog walk in sneakers in the afternoon.
I have an idea of something like a grid or stripe pattern but instead of black and grey, like navy with shocking pink.
Anyone seen anything interesting?
