If your happiness factor is super high, then that is the way to go! The fit looks good. For myself, personally, I would be looking for lighter colours (for summer) and probably a different print. But I have a slight poison eye for smaller florals, so take that with a big grain of salt and pay attention to your happiness factor!

I was looking for lighter colours, but I actually don't mind wearing black or darker colours either.

And I was so thrilled by the fit and easiness, that I didn't pay much attention to the floral pattern.

I really like the fit on you and I can see it "toughened up" by a denim jacket and less feminine footwear (although those flats are an obvious match too).

Thank you, Jules! I tried it with a denim jacket, different cardis and a leather jacket, and pumps, in the store just to see the potential. Right there I thought it was very versatile and could be "toughened up" (leather jacket), like you say, or be more feminine (with cardi), casual (denim jacket) or dressy (nice shrug or blazer)

I love this dress on you Harmonica! I think the fit and shape are lovely and I personally don't mind the black background. My floral summer dress has a black background as well and I find it surprisingly versatile. You can change the dress up with different toppers and footwear.

I think it's a keeper.

I just bought a black tank dress after looking for several months. At that point I truly didn't care what the color was as long as I loved the style of the dress. Turns out black suits me perfectly!

No, Shannon :-/ I've been all over town and even at the childrens department, but there is none here. Either they are too distressed, wrong size or not cropped enough (short waist means short back too). But I have my eyes open

I agree with everyone, the fit and shape are great. The print is not quite my taste but I don't think the black is a detriment; I wear a lot of black with white and brights in the summer myself.

A big YAY! Nice fit a d the floral is bright, but I'm one who loves wearing black and other dark colors in the hottest part of summer to feel shaded. I'd love to see this dress with a pale blue faded or white denim jacket or vest.
