Apologies for asking this again, but your yesterday’s input was very helpful to me. I am wearing different shade of grey today. How is this one compared to yesterday’s ? It is difficult to see in pictures, yesterday grey had a bluish tint, and this one is more taupe.
Also please excuse (or ignore) my no makeup face, was running very late this morning, only managed to comb my hair and wash my teeth

Looks fabulous to me, but I liked yesterday’s top too against your hair. Is this a cooler grey? Hard to tell, and is the light/location similar? We are so hard on ourselves whereas so many other (non-YLF) people wouldn’t think twice about the nuances of color.

We’re I to ever grow out my color and go grey, your hair would be my aspiration.

Aquamarine - I took the picture at the same spot at about same time of day as yesterday. Weather is also very similar as yesterday. This should be warmer grey but not too warm.

Thank you Angie. So no bluish grey for me. I shop online and it is difficult to guess the shade of grey when ordering online unfortunately. Should I go more warm or is this enough?

Online grey is especially difficult. Yup. A warmer grey is a good place to start.

I think a lot of it is having the contrast of the black and white included in todays outfit, it may not be just about the shade of grey. So hard to tell in photos, with all the funny things light, cameras and computers do to colour.

Just realized when wanted to do this experiment with warmer grey, that all my greys are cool toned, silvery bluish grey. No wander I was not feeling them.

Yes! You can still wear the cooler greys with colors to warm them up... tomato red, yellow, orange...and a little extra makeup. I hope taupe comes back in retail in the spring. It is one of my favorite spring neutrals.

This looks better, I think it is partly the darker contrast though as well, with your eyebrows and glasses( like Torontogirl said in your other post) which also makes it more flattering. I did still like yesterday's look. But of course you have to feel it yourself.
Suz will be a bit lucky if you pack up all your cool-toned greys and send them to her!

I don’t understand. I know Angie posted about grey & grey recently, but you have a great wardrobe with lots of colors. You look good in your clothes and I think you enjoy wearing them. Why are you pushing yourself to find the “right” shade of a color you don’t feel good in? I like this look on you, but that doesn’t matter if you aren’t feeling it.

Unfortunately for Suz, my clothes will be way too big for her
FashIntern - it is simple. I love how all grey outfits with grey hair look on others - very elegant and sophisticated. And more importantly, to be able to wear my bright colors, I need neutrals to balance them, and grey is useful light neutral.
