Guilty. But I'm pretty sure it's part of projecting yourself into the role which results in better cover letters (she says as she works on her cover letter while browsing online for killer pointed oxfords).

Hehe, maybe it means that you can really see yourself in the role and you're a good fit for the company.

Oh, yes. I discovered at some point that what I would wear to a position was important. I decided that if I didn't want to wear the clothes that suited the job, that was a good indicator that the work wasn't for me. Definitely helped me rule out truck driver.

Better yet...is it wrong that the first thing you do when you get an invitation,
plan a vacation, consider a job interview, receive an invitation to present,
have to go out of town for a medical appointment, have a brunch at your house, etc, etc., you plan what you will wear...No, this is just our hobby, our reality escape, our passion...smile...

My first thought on receiving any kind of invitation or making an appointment is "what am I going to wear?". Doubly so for interviews or jobs!

I absolutely agree. From the time the position I wanted was posted (a month before interviews were scheduled), I looked at everything through the lens of what I would wear to interview and what I would wear to work (though I have that pretty well taken care of).

I agree it is never wrong. Although I do not have a lot of expensive clothing I do try and take the time to put an outfit together. My job is casual. They just disposed of the dress code. This should prove to be interesting with the wide array of folks working for the company.
I have seen a few too short skirts.
