I currently have a charcoal suit in my recycle bag- no-one was interested on Ebay and I only wore it to funerals.
I wanted more space in my closet, and since joining this forum I have other, more creative outfits I would prefer to wear.

I haven't owned a suit since the 90's...but yesterday I actually bought one at Banana Republic! I don't have a corporate job, so there's no "need" for one at all. It wasn't on my list to buy either. What happened was I really fell for the fitted BR jacket, and the salesclerk brought me the matching skirt. Everything was 40% off, so I just went for it. I'm still not sure if it's something I need--or even want. I've ordered the matching straight-leg pants, so I'll post some pics when those arrive.

Even though a suit wasn't on my list, it feels fresh to me again....

Here's the suit. The color isn't really "navy" but more of a mid-tone blue:

I have about three suits, and I wear them for formal business occasions only - they just feel formal to me and they give me that professional feeling.

I once spent most of my life in suits but no longer. I love suits and I have a "corporate spouse capsule" so I invested in Hugo Boss basic pantsuit.

Reason I mention the brand is that they dye match from lot to lot so later when I found the perfect black sheath dress, voila it could be worn with the jacket. I can add a skirt anytime, and so on. There was lots of choice in jacket and pant cuts so you get a custom suit. Most comfortable pants suit I have ever owned too.

I can break it up and wear the pieces separately so I feel it was worth it. I'll buy a coloured suit as they hit the stores but probably at a much lower price point. I can't wait to see Angie explore this trend.
