Firecracker, that's the one I was thinking of. I didn't click through to the page that includes "travel" as part of the product name.

I will admit to having used RachyLou's method of a thick towel on the floor. It does work amazingly well. Never tried it on a table though .....

Fashiontern -- I owned a steamer once. It was worthless.

Sterling, I got one once and couldn't get it to make any difference in the clothes at all. I left it at my parents'. Next time I was there, mom said little sis had snatched it up and gone on about how great they were in the store. Maybe it was the wrong kind &/or I didn't know what I was doing with it. I hate ironing. Absolutely can't stand it. If I can tips here on a good one and how to use it well, I may never look at the ironing board again. But I won't get one unless some of the people who say they like them get more specific, and if I do, I am absolutely saving every scrap of packaging!

My press cloth is usually a cotton handkerchief. My mom was a seamstress and taught me how to iron properly, so that may be the primary reason I prefer a steam iron and an ironing board.

I waltzed into my local Bed, Bath & Beyond to buy an iron about five years ago. A saleswoman too into herself kept drilling me about whether my plans were to 'press' or to 'iron'. We could have been speaking Greek and the entire process was exhausting and demoralizing. I ended up with a pretty good iron but hope to never shop for another!

For Ryce and anyone else who is interested, the find below is the ironing spray I use regularly.

I use a small, travel sized it on and my ironing board (full size for now, tabletop when we move into the new house)

Yep, Firecracker - that is the one!
