I think there's a lot of flash sale sites and only some much fashion inventory. Groupon seems like it could be profitable, but then I have no business background.

I still keep checking in to the ones I like everyday at 10am and 11am! and with the phone app? I had to actually remove myself from one due to too much damage to my wallet. Hubbie thought I was actually opening a store of my own in our closet!

A pair of shoes I was checking out on Ideeli is $69+$10 shipping. Returns are for store credit only.

Same shoes available through endless with free shipping and free returns for $77, and a normal return policy.

The deals are not always what they're cracked up to be.

I admit I visit those sites, but rarely order. Amazon's Myhabit is a perfect example as they have had tons of codes for $25 off and since then no product available to any of the general public. Frustrating. I've had great customer service on Groupon, but purchase only local restaurants I am familiar with or major retailers if I can still get free shipping so I'm very selective. It is like most things and the hype can suck you in, but if I'm not familiar with the brand and their sizing and the return policy is store credit I am less likely to take a chance. I always compare shop and have rarely found a deal worth the high shipping costs usually associated with the flash sites and the strict return policy. I do think they are a good PR advertisement to get people aware of certain brands, but not sure if they generate their own sales so much.
