It's rather long but worth the read. I think this article brings up a point that is often lost in discussions of cultural appropriation - that the line between straight out appropriation of another culture's themes (i.e. UO and its "Navajo" line) and the usage of those themes to market TO that particular culture (i.e. Pendleton blankets) is often not very clear at all. I suspect a lot of the difference has to do with respect, which is obvious with the UO line, but this is a lot murkier when dealing with, for example, the new Pendleton collaborations talked about in this article.
