I, too, like clearer versions of most colours. But I have a few items in muted/greyed pink like yours and enjoy wearing them. Muted pink somehow feels more "adult" than several other pinks and looks great teamed with many other cool colours. How fun that you found it in the kids' department!

Guess what? I lied.

Not intentionally. But I realized I do have one other pink item. And I do wear it! Mostly in the early autumn and early spring. It is a cotton sweater from Ann Taylor.

In this case, it's a brighter pink, with red and burgundy mixed through. For some reason the combo works better fo rme than straight pink. This sweater does skew a bit sweet for my taste but I love how vivid it is, and it's a nice cotton knit, and it works well with burgundy and light blue or with reds. So. Maybe another pink solution (for me) is to mix with red and/or burgundy.)

I know very well that struggle not to feel too "sweet" in pastels that are objectively flattering on me. A chameleonlike version (is it pink? is it lavender? is it gray?) can be just the thing. I am taking notes!
