Glad you posted, Anna, I was worried about you. Stress sucks.

I do love your posts.

But I'll see ya when you get back , no pressure, return when it seems fun again!

I'm glad you posted, too, because I was a little worried about you too. I agree 100% with Gaylene. Happy hiking!

Agghhh....stress. It can make anyone feel a bit antsy.

It's totally ok - we all have our moments of stress and I think it's pretty normal to 'speak up' a wee bit when things are beyond hectic and we can't find a break in the near future.

As for myself, I'm worried about my Mom (health issues) - and somehow I ended up being not-so-nice to my DH. Difficult and more than a bit testy about things. Came out of nowhere, and somehow he ended up being the recipient of my stress/worries. Escalated into an argument the night before last, and it took until today for me to realize that what's really going on is that I'm worried about my Mom. And yet, here I was getting mad at my DH for all kinds of stuff, things that weren't previously an issue at all.

It's weird how that works - sometimes you're just stressed and it comes out in places you wouldn't expect. Thing is - it's understandable, so please don't worry about it too much!

In the meantime, here's hoping you're back here at YLF by tomorrow.

Have a great hike Anna!

Oh Wow. Y'all are amazing. I should clarify it was probably a trifecta of things.
Boy disappointment.
Too much call/work.
Also I just had my annual review and I was sure I was getting a raise. I went up a step but did not get a raise.
Although I have not reverted back to schlump-a-dump commuting.

Anna, you are a lovely person and I really admire you for starting this thread. Stress takes its toll on us all. We love you regardless! Enjoy your hike and don't be a stranger for too long xxx

Hope things calm down and get less stressful soon! Don't stay away on account of us--you're welcome here anytime! I know once I said I was taking a break and I was gone all of a couple days or so! It's hard to stay away!

Have a great hike!

Good on you Anna.

anna, thanks for posting this update. i have been thinking about you and hoping that you were doing ok.
i hope thing get better for you soon, and you return to YLF with your WIWs.

You're a gem of a person for all the reasons stated above. If we can see that, it's impossible that all your real-life acquaintances (work, boys et al) entirely miss that.

You go hike off the heebie-jeebies and come on back soon. Please.

And congratulations on the step up.

Enjoy your hike! I hope your stress gets better.

Moving through nature is a great way to clear out all the crud that builds up in a stressful life. I was ready to break at least 4 of the 10 Commandments in one big blow up yesterday, but thought better of it after a bike ride through the Forest Preserve with my DS.

Love seeing your post, when it's fun for you to share them, Anna.

Thank you for this, anna. I thought about it from your perspective just now--there's a person out there who owes me an apology (he doesn't even realize it yet, heh), and though I'd be inclined to have a hard time accepting it, assuming it ever comes, I'm now thinking about being gracious, understanding what's involved in recognizing and acknowledging one's impact.

Thank you Anna. Enjoy your hike and above all take care of yourself - mind, body, and soul!

Oh, I'm so glad you popped back in Anna! I just love you to death.

And hey, a step up! That's something to celebrate. You can go mad with power if not money ;>

Thank you for this post Anna, I hope things get better for you soon. Take care of yourself and don't stay gone too long.

Hi Anna, enjoy your hike, clear your head and feel better and remember we are here for you. I love the sisterhood of this forum.......definitely family

Sending good wishes for a break from all the stress and a chance to enjoy yourself. Stress is a bear, and we all have our limits. Here's to fresh air.
