For the commuters, let's assume that you'll already be lugging around a larger bag when needed.
I'm torn between a small satchel, which can accommodate a phone plus glasses and minimal accessories; and an even smaller clutch. I used to love larger bags for what they could hold, but they cause discomfort and bad posture over time. My ideal bag would definitely need a strap, but I lean top handles because they look less casual. A slim pocket at the back is also an asset, but not necessary. Black or gold/silver would be my ideal colours.
