Please excuse me for reawakening this thread but I have been giving this some thought

If you imagine fashion/style as a solar system the star upon which are universe hinged would be formed by the classics BUT nobody (to my knowledge) dresses exclusively wearing classic pieces, therefore our style personas become planets. Some planets such as modern classic orbit very closely to the sun whilst other planets such as avant garde are in the outer reaches of our solar system but are still inexplicably drawn to the classic sun.

So in this analogy, as with our solar system, the planets orbits are elliptical and therefore even the most avant garde dressers will move closer to the classic sun at some points in time.

And if our classic sun would be destroyed...our style planets would rocket off into space on an unknown trajectory seeking out another star.

(good heavens I am such a geek and I100% blame Brian Cox!!!)

Julie, that's brilliant!

Do men dress classically?

RoseandJoan (Julie?): I second "brilliant". I love a good geek!

Yay, Julie! LOVE your brilliant analogy.

Sure, Jayne. Some men are very classic dressers.

Julie, that's awesome! Yes!

I agree that men can most definitely be classic dressers. Most of the men I know well are.
