Well, they passed their initial test with flying colors. I went out to grab some dinner and ended up taking a little walk around town (with a stop for ice cream) since it was such a beautiful evening. I probably walked a mile or so, and no issues with comfort -- just the standard "I'm wearing new shoes" awareness.
Irene, I meant to answer your question. My feet don't move around in these any more than they do in any other sandals. The straps are leather, so even though they are thin, they are quite sturdy, but they don't cut into my skin. They are very nicely made -- I can see why they might be habit-forming, Anna!
