I'm with Anchie these days ... ink or navy in summer (black in winter) - but my real favorite is ink/navy and black worn together at any time of year!

It's so hard to find navy/ink in Petite sizes! And for more classically cut items, I associate navy with old style flight attendant or other uniforms. . .or my late toughie aunt. How does one get over these psychological barriers?

Oooh, I love Inge's idea. I could go for aubergine as a main neutral. I have a wool coat in that color. Navy doesn't mix with it that well but ink blue or black does.

Donna F, it's dated to think of dark blue that way. Just DO IT.

DonnaF, I think the only way to get over it is to wear it out!

I wear lots of blue, but I'm not very interested in colours in general.

I like you in black and white actually, because I don't perceive your persona as all soft&romantic&wavy, I like to see bold bossy Angie coming through from time to time

I'm excited to see you add a graphic element to your style, it could reconcile romantic soft Angie with bold modern Angie.

Isabelle, you absolutely crack me up. I can be Boldly Soft, or Softly Bold. But always Modern, Dressy and Crisp. Retro is part of my style soul too (you cannot separate me from the '60s, '70s and '80s).

I just got these. Softly Bold.

I've been thinking about whether I want an additional black. I feel pulled towards dark neutrals (even though jewel tones are my sweet spot) so it might be worth mixing those neutrls up a bit. I love your Campers.
Only had one pair of Campers, years ago, and found them uncomfortable so I never looked at the brand again, I know I know, leave no retail stone unturned...

That's too bad, Isabelle. Campers are known for being VERY comfy, and I confirm the rumour. I'm seldom drawn to their very casual vibe though, and they can run too wide for my feet. I lucked out here.

Ink is your new black! I love it and love your pairing of this with white and saved an inspiration photo as such.

I've been moving toward softer neutrals and adding soft sheens and fabrics to create this look. I still like well-cut, fitted pants.
