Yes. Case in point the sweater dress I am wearing today. The whole point of dressing a sweater dress is because it is easy, not that I have to figure out how to layer it. ( which I didn't btw)

I wholeheartedly agree that clothes made to keep warm should be made to keep warm ! What drives me mad is seeing continually woolen sweaters with deep necklines ...

Have you guys been seeing the high necked sleeveless tunics in your area? I've seen a bunch, and they don't make a lot of sense to me either. I guess to layer under in a mild climate they work. Just seems a weird combination, with a chunky knit, high neck and long length with no sleeves.

Sisi and CS -- YES. The low-necked woolens (grrrr) and the sleeveless high-necked chunky knits.... whaaat? Seasonal confusion in one garment.

Of course, I felt that way about "sandal booties" and then they came to seem like the coolest and most normal thing in the world.

Yes chewy - there were lots of them in the Australia winter and my response was just the same. I love the way they LOOKED but didn't buy them for that reason - even though we have a mild climate.

And April I'm pretty much with you on sweater dresses, though early in my YLF time when they were pretty popular I did buy and wear a short sleeved one pretty much to the ground. I just wore a tight fitting black tee underneath alone with black tights.
