I think I can scratch pants off my list for now--my ponte leggings will work with tunics and boots I already have. That leaves footwear (flat or low-heeled simple black booties) and a warm coat.

I say look for a wedge bootie. I have a suede pair that are amazingly comfy and look very chic for work.

I'll try some. Do you have pics or brand or links to yours, Jenava? I may be able to pull off a not too high wedge heel or chunky heel. That would be fun.

Sounds like you are well sorted. For a coat I would recommend The Bay who has all their winter wool coats on sale at the moment.

I think that you are making a wise decision to focus on shoes and a coat right now. You will get a much better idea of how you would like to dress and how it will work for you once you are actually going to work.
