Well, I couldn't take it anymore. Trying to grow my hair out was becoming a pain in my ass! So, I got it cut, and I am absolutely in love with it (though this may change tomorrow morning). Okay, here is the story behind my latest hair issue: I have been working on growing it out for about two months and it was beginning to hit just above my eyebrows.
However, my hair grows very funky, in all different types of directions, and tends to enjoy laying on the left side of my head (that is wear my natural part is, or so I've been told, because I have no clue about any of this type of stuff). Anyway, my mom had a cocktail party with some of her co-workers tonight and I was helping her out until I left to make an appearance at my friend's party. Well, her friend (the one who gave me my whole new wardrobe) walked in and I immediately fell in LOVE with her haircut. I told my mom that it was the type of cut I would LOVE if I was not trying to grow out my hair.
So, I left the party with the intention of walking around Target to kill some time before I had to go to my friend's party. Well, needless to say I did NOT end up at Target, and instead went into Fantastic Sams and got my haircut.
I have come to the conclusion (as I have many other times, but it never sticks) that with the thickness of my hair (it is massively thick) I either need to wear it super short or super long, as there is no "happy medium". I was beginning to just put up with all the crappy in-between stages of letting my hair grow out, but I have yet again lost my patience and cut it.
Anway, as I stated in my long ramble, I am in LOVE with the cut (maybe that will change tomorrow), but I still have others voices in my head (i.e. women with short hair tend to be gay, I'm NOT, short hair is for boys, you look like a twelve-year old boy with short hair etc. etc.). I am not sure in my last post (about the pencil skirts with the knee high boots looking hookerish to me) who posted the story about letting that one person unconciouslly incfluence a choice one makes, but you were absolutely right I did it with the boots and again with my hair.
Why is that I wonder? Any opinions?
Anyway, here are the pics of the new haircut and what I wore to the part.

Please, be HONEST, tell me what you think. And, maybe you can provide some insight that I have overlooked as to why others opinions bother me so much (even it is strangers making the comments or my own friends - THAT really hurts - ).
Hope all is well!
Thanks!
