I'm sure everyone who witnessed this was charmed and laughed WITH you, not AT you.
Honestly, when I see people being rude, cruel or impolite I feel upset. But when I see a tiny child behaving exactly as a tiny children do and his/her mama being a wonderful and responsible parent, I think it's great - yes, even if that parent happens to be temporarily pantless or having her skirt "peekabooed." And anyone who you'd want to be friends with would feel the same.
Oh Julie thank you for sharing, but oh my goodness...!!!!
My pair used to love opening the curtains and playing peek-a-boo with whomever else was in the store when I was in change rooms, and also crawling from my change room into the neighbouring room, but thankfully they never actually ran off on me...
And FWIW if it had been at a store where I was, I would have chased after the little mite for you!!
Julie - thank you for a great laugh this morning *with* you, not *at* you. good thing is that it happened so fast, probably nobody had time to whip out their phone and then put it on youtube This will be a great story down the road. I can SO empathize. Kids will do the strangest things. Katiepea your story cracked me up too. Michelle - what a terrifying story!
