Thunalata, thanks for the compliment! I have several Mary Frances bags that I adore, 2 Brahmin faux croc (leather) bags and 1 metal dog bag (SO cute!) and a Timmy Woods Shar Pei dog bag (made from wood!) that I love....hopefully, someday I'll be able to say Im as happy with my wardrobe! Great subject for a post!

Good question! I'm almost 100% happy right now with my clothes AND accessories. Still looking for a leopard-print or deep teal short trenchcoat.

I recently purged my closet due to a 12 pound weight loss (goodbye muffin top) and just added several summery rayon dresses, which I discovered I really love wearing!
Dresses used to be WAY outside of my tomboyish style zone.

I love my accessories 100% - especially my leather Tignanello bags and my unique, hand-crafted sterling silver/natural stone bead jewelry. Yep, I'm happy!

BM we need some pictures! And I look forward to when your wardrobe is as happy...

Barbara - wow! What an inspiring post to read. I'm sure the perfect trenchcoat is just around the corner...

Aw, thanks! I'll ask DH if he could take some this weekend when he's off.....Im totally computer illiterate when it comes to taking pics!

Well, like girlx , I also sew...that means if I am not 100% happy with a fit in my size...I tweak it myself or have it done.
HOW your garments fit is really often the difference between "eh..it's ok" to "OMG...I love this" for me fit is the deal breaker 100% of the time.

Yippee! I've just posted another comment fishing for pics on Cilleena's thread!

Yes BM we must see your fabness...we can walk you through it:) We are already fans!

Ah, it's those devilish details again, Taylor... It really gives something to aspire to, knowing that it can be done. Thanks!

LOL...You are too sweet, Taylor! I appreciate the offer, thanks

Polly, at this point I think my proportion of "loves" would be higher but I am grappling with some fit issues. I keep getting smaller so some of my former favorites are no longer just right. And I'm really with Taylor that the fit makes all the difference!

I find my wardrobe satisfaction and my weight are linked. I lost about 15 lbs after my winter vacation (a month in Mexico) and bought a lot of new pieces. I have also culled a few times and was fairly ruthless the last few times. I realize I have some dresses that I like but don't love that may need to leave and a few tops that I no longer love. I seem to go in waves and buy and wear only knits or only woven and it rotates. I seem to be in a woven phase so the knits just hang there all lonely unless I'm doing casual.

To answer the question, I think I am probably at least at 75%. I also bought a few new bags and brought out a few that had been ignored. I have two strings of shell pearls (cream and black) and totally love them and wear them regularly. I love my Invicta oversized watch in silver with rose gold detail.

All in all, I think I am the happiest with my wardrobe that I've ever been.

Great question.

I have a few items that I would like to update, but I am really happy with most of my wardrobe.

Taylor, I sew too, but sadly, not well enough for complex alterations. You are so right about fit, though. After seeing the difference size makes in my recent Anthro orange dress post, I'm convinced fit is the MAIN part of fabness for me!

I'd say the vast majority, though I don't know if I could put a number or percent on it. I still have some purging to do, but for the most part I'm pretty contented.

Dianthus, Khris and Jonesy, really good to hear from people who are really happy with most things they have.

Mary - ah, I see. That makes complete sense.

Well, I feel hugely encouraged by all everyone has achieved and to hear from so many people who are focused on perfectly fitting clothes. It's the way forward and gives me the inspiration to enjoy where I am now and look forward to the next stage of my journey.

As Angie said at the beginning, it takes time and funds but should be fun!

Depending on my mood, I'm at the 75% range. I actually love my accessories more, but this may due to weight issues. I've purged my closet and I'm almost satisfied with what I have now (which I have to make work now due to it not being financially convenient to go shopping).

I've been thinking about this thread ever since you posted the question and while I can't give a specific answer as it's too much work for my brain these days, I can only repeat the phrase I'm so grateful to Michelle for - I hug my wardrobe.

If I have to come up with something, a few pieces come to mind straight away: red dress, purple dress, leather jacket, tweed jacket, pb blouse, skinnies - they are all post-YLF buys. There are some older pieces too, like my red knitted top, ponte knit LBD, another LBD, high-waisted black pencil skirt, navy dress and black velvet midi skirt, but what matters to me is that all my wardrobe is instantly accessible, there are no hidden-from-me items, everything is in rotation (season appropriate) and best of all - I am really picky with regards what gets the privilege to earn the spot on another hanger. There is no despair and "I have nothing to wear". When I am tired my best relaxation is pairing things down even further - I just listed 3 lovely skirts on ebay!

I'm in flux as well since I recently lost 26 lbs and am slowly rebuilding my wardrobe. I tend to love the newest thing until I've worn it. I'm trying to buy season/size spanning items that are quality, but sometimes I just have to have some quantity. If I eliminate too large items then I'm probably at 70% happy (some were desperation buys to have something to wear to work). I get so much inspiration here that I think will help me love all of it or purge what I don't.

I have started almost from scratch last summer, most of my cool season wardrobe is new and I am pretty happy with it. I think I made some mistakes but I am happy with 70% of it. It also helps that I have everything altered by my mom if a fit is not perfect.
You cannot have the wardrobe full of stars, you need support players too so as well as they fit well, flattering in style and color and work well with other pieces I am happy with them.
My summer wardrobe is a different matter, I am happy with maybe 40% of it right now...and my footwear collection really needs work!

I'm probably about 70% happy with my wardrobe. The dissatisfaction comes mostly from holes (no blazers, a weak summer wardrobe), some ongoing changes in my personal style, and items not working together quite as well as I want.

So far this year I've both purged and purchased, so now I'm thinking of trying SYC for a while just to see exactly how well things work together.

I think probably all of it. There is nothing I particularly want to get rid of/ replace and I haven't had a 'I've got nothing to wear' moment for ages x

Probably 70%. Maybe a little more. I have a collection of scrubby things that I hang around the house in. I rarely do all my housecleaning at once, and I cook every day (bleh), which means I'm always getting bleach droplets and food splatters on my clothes. You need stuff like that, so you don't care if it gets stained.

If I don't include the scrubby clothes, the percentage is probably more like 90%.
