I was just browsing, nothing else, when I came across this:

Some of you might be familiar with Mr Skunky. That's not his real name, even though he's been skunked six times. Here he was this morning, looking silly with leaves stuck to him, yesterday, just relaxing, and out in the vegetable garden earlier this summer.

I think it's a sign - it was meant for you. I have a standard poodle and she's also like velcro- everything sticks to that curly hair.

So cute! If it is affordable for you, and would make you happy having it on display even if you don't use it, I think you have a winner.

If you are on the fence, imagine having it, imagine where you would put it, imagine looking at it in a week or two. See if you see yourself still happy with the purchase. That helps me sort out that short lived immediate hit of "I want it" from longer term happiness and satisfaction with a purchase.

I am actually trying to resist it. I successfully resisted the Rebecca Minkoff bag that I loved. This one reminds me of the Judith Leiber polar bear bag that I saw at Caesar's in Las Vegas years ago. It was $$$$$!

Sara, a friend has a smooth coat dachshund that she "bathes" by wiping him with a washcloth. Bathing Mr Skunky is a big deal. Is your poodle a big deal to bathe, too?

Angie, I think I became familiar with this brand when you got your bag. The Scottie charms on them are so darling. There *should* be a Yorkie version. Imagine how small the bag would be! BTW, I got the JCrew terrier shirt.

Isabel, it does look like nice quality. So, so tempting..

Rachy, Brooklyn, Mr Skunky would carry it around like a lovey, but then his brother, the Jack Russell, would kill it. Not a pretty picture.

I am happy it doesn't come in a Lab version, especially if the Lab version was close to actual size. Luckily, bathing my girls isn't too much of a chore as they love water of any kind.

Gryffin, the number of people who have asked me if Mr Skunky were a schnauzer is very surprising, considering I don't think they look much alike!

Kathleen, labs are such sweet dogs. We had one years ago, and she was over 100 pounds (they make them big in Texas). We bathed her in the backyard with a garden hose!

Susie, it is adorable, I just don't think I have any events to take it to, unfortunately.

Jaileen - Scotties are similar on a fast glance to the black schnauzers but with longer muzzles, backs and tails. With less people docking tails, someone who does not know dogs could confuse them. Although we doggy mama's might find that odd. On a quick glance I can still confuse a bouvier des flandres with a blown giant black so what does that tell you about my eyesight?!!

Staysfit, thank you. You really nailed it. I definitely couldn't use the shoulder strap, and it would be fine as a clutch at a party, but my opportunities to go to those sort of events have dwindled lately.

Gryffin, thank you. To me, Mr Skunky's main defining feature, aside from his giant ears, is his very low slung body. I always joke that he's a big dog with three inch legs.

Mr. Skunky is adorable!! Sounds like he also has a winning personality, which is the most important trait for any pet!
I vote for resisting. The bag is cute, but I can't imagine you actually using it on any kind of regular basis.
When I fell madly in love with the shoes below, thankfully I came to my senses before pulling the trigger. I kept a picture of them on my phone and instead donated to Springer Rescue.

Ryce, I think those shoes look pretty wearable! More so than the Scottie bag. The company, Radley, has another bag with Scotties, but it's not as interesting, plus it's silly: Mr Skunky has never, ever been cold!

It was good of you to donate to Springer rescue. Both Mr Skunky and his brother, Bob Barker, are used dogs. Bob had been a stray as a puppy, and survived by his wits, before he was eventually picked up by animal control, and transferred to Russell Rescue, where we got him. Mr Skunky's person had a terminal illness, and she asked me if we could take him. He really has a wonderful personality. Bob, on the other hand, is very needy. I love them both.
