High end tough boots trending

With more refined footwear trending at the moment I have felt less drawn to my Frye Veronica slouch boots, but I have been looking online & in store for shoes lately & have noticed Fendi, Prada, Miu Miu & others have boots very similar to those, for a lot more money. I guess I shouldn't purge mine yet. I do sometimes regret purges, but if my things are in good condition & cost a lot I want to purge them before they are totally dated, so that I might be able to actually sell them. Anyway, I think tough boots might be trending. Good for all the UWPs.

sorry, the heeled miu miu moto boots are ridic, and not in a good way.

snap, joy, i lived in veronica slouches last winter. will do again. love it with cushy cozy tunics and legging/jeggings.

My Frye Veronica shorties are on my list of top 5 fave shoes.

If you decide to sell yours let me know...especially if they are black!

You're all swaying me towards keeping them but I will let you know abc if I do decide to sell. I don't know why I got tired of them. Maybe my weight loss has made me feel that clunkier shoes don't work for me but I see waif thin models look good in them, though I think the shorties look better on them, even with the stick legs. I can slouch mine into shorties but they aren't the same. I bought a couple of pairs of slouchy Isabel Marant Jenny boot knockoffs to get a similar shortie wide opening boot with a less clunky sole & heel but I'm not feeling the love for those either, & I have only worn each pair twice.

The boots you linked to Elle - apart from the Mui Mui - are still quite refined.

I have been over Fryes for my own style for three years - but they are absolutely still in style. No question!

Correction: I still wear these taupe Fryes - exhibit A - because they look pretty and less tough.

I think sh*t-kicking moto or combat boots are always in style. Docs, Fryes, etc. I plan on wearing them forever.

Tough boots are always MY style. Fryes seem to hold their value forever IME. People still resell them after many years. No hurry to sell if you are unsure.

I think you might regret it if you let them go. I have a pair of high quality motos that are over 10 years old. I hardly wore them for a couple of years and then I lived in them again last fall/winter. So glad I didn't say "bye-bye".
