Help needed!

rute

I went to Zara to try a new type of skirt I see everywhere.. but I'm not sure if it is flattering and if it's appropriate for a 42 woman.
1/2 - black skirt
3 - dress with voluminous skirt
4/5 - same dress but in another color

So which one(s) should I buy?

buy the skirt! it is fabulous on you. I'm undecided about the black (blue) dress, but definitely pass on the tan one.

I like the skirt, but not sold on the dress... can't quite put my finger on it. The skirt looks really lovely on you, though.

Yes AJ, I did the test. As it's a voluminous skirt, when I sit both (skirt and dress) cover the knees.

I like the skirt! I think the dresses don't look so good because the neckline is too high and the sleeves have a strange length for the cut. I don't like the color of the second dress either.

Love the skirt, Rute! You can definitely pull it off! I really love it with the tucked blouse. I'd pass on the two dresses.

Rute, those are the pleated skirts I was talking about when I spoke about the trends for Spring 2011. Is that a knitted skirt by the way? It's adorable and flattering but needs to be pulled off with sophistication - which you do with no problem at all

I vote pass on the beige dress. It does not live up to your high style quotient!

Get that black skirt immediately! It is fabulous on you! I'm not too wild about the dresses, something about the cut seems a little off, but that skirt would work in SO MANY outfit combinations. I even like it with the shirt you have on in the dressing room.

I'm not sure what you mean by knitted..the composition is
46% POLIESTER
45% VISCOSE
6% ALGODÃO
3% ELASTANO
It's an heavy fabric!

Pulled off with sophistication .. my brain is already working..

Shall I buy the skirt and the black dress?

LOVE the skirt and it looks great on you. The color of the tan dress doesn't do anything for you, but I do like the black (blue?) one.

I vote buy the black skirt, hands down, and pass on the others. The skirt is totally wonderful on you, and the others just aren't up to the same standard. That skirt looks amazing on you, and I can see you wearing it with all sorts of things.

team skirt only, because the dress isn't really giving you anything extra - pairing the skirt with a t will effectively give you the look of the dress. Am I making any sense?

And you are not talking about ANY 42yo woman here - you're talking about our fabulous Rute! Of course you can pull it off!

Well, I guess I have just found mine! I went back to Zara to buy it, because I felt really good and everybody liked!

I'll give the black dress a couple more days .. I'll have to think.. but I'm so tempted..

I like the skirt a lot, Rute! For some reason, the dresses look a little too "figure skater" for me, especially in the tan/taupe color.
