Okay, Angie says no. 1, red size small, "by far." And she says "it looks fantastic!" *blushing*
Since that one fits the best, as far as I'm concerned that seals the deal. The others are all packed back up in their box and are ready to be returned to Sears!
Thanks for all your help and encouragement, ladies! This was a fun way to spend the evening!
Great news for me. I'll be seeing you in your #1, red size small then. Gladly, I'll be able to find you easier. Please look for me, I'll be wearing a black puffer. LOL
I was going to explain why I thought the red was best on you, but since Angie's spoken and you have chosen, I no longer need to!
Just wanted to chime in to say that your one initial hesitation --- the zipper --- might be a blessing in disguise, because I find the zippered ones stay warmer (you button up in haste, leave the zipper off, and cold air gets through...) and it's fabulous to find a two-way zipper to boot. Hope your very versatile red will see you through the next 20 years, MaryK!
Love the first one on you. I like that it is not fussy. It fits you perfectly. Also when you are in a hurry you just zip it up and go without worrying about zipper, snaps and a belt. You will stand out in the best possible way in NYC. Everyone is wearing black puffed thi time of year. The color makes its own statement. Also I think something simple is going to have more staying power If this is your puffer for the next 20 years.
Without reading any of the other responses (mostly 'cause I''m pressed for time) I vote for the red in the smaller size - it looks like it fits really well and I love the bright, happy colour. It looks fab on you MaryK!
I'm SO OH SO late to this, but without reading through... you may have already decided... I vote for #1 hands down. The blonde fur on the hoods of the others kind of visually become an extension of your hair, and take its shape to weird places. The color of the red is also just so flattering on you, and I think the simple shape will suit it to any color mixing you plan to do.
MaryK,
The blue is such a wonderful color for you! but the red looks like a better silhouette. I'm not any help at all.
P.S. I ordered my LLBean boatneck striped sweaters this am. I'm getting the black/cream, cream/navy and the gray/cream.
You look great in the red. And it'll be a nice change from NYC's sea of black coats at this time of year. Be sure to bring some thermal underwear if you have any. When NYC gets cold, the wind really whips around!
