So I managed to do it all! Staysfit, for sure I would never miss kid events, but I also hate to miss out on the rare chances I get to do anything adult. And I'm an extrovert - I find this kind of day energizing.
Here's what I wore. I was able to come home and do a very quick change. To game and to the movie, I wore a new Rails flannel shirt (to replace the cheapo one that kept unbuttoning) and my old Gap Always Skinnies with purple ankle boots. These boots are spectacularly comfortable for the heel height, lined, waterproof, and stable on ice. Can't recommend them enough. After I dropped the boys at a basketball clinic, I came home and switched into Mother skinnies and an Eileen Fisher tunic with my patent booties. This was fine for the ukulele concert (nothing is ever required dressy here) and also for the nightclub event.
Thanks for all the help! I worry I'm in a rut, but on this kind of day I'm okay with FFBOs!
