Seeking guidance from the collective wisdom here on YLF - please help me buy for my changed feet!
I've had some foot issues that present as most likely sesamoiditis, perhaps morton’s neuroma, so I've overhauled by shoe collection lately. I am in need of at least one pair of walkable heels/sitting shoes for the occasions that do truly call for them. (My husband is tall, I don't feel quite dressed up enough even in the dressiest of flats, so I'd like *one* pair!) Was hoping to take advantage of NAS to fill this need, and these came recommended on a few blogs. (Not this one, I know, probably my biggest mistake...) I sized up a half size to fit in cushioning under the ball of the foot. I like them so far walking inside the house. Love how the heal spreads out the impact, and the elastic straps don't bother my feet. They are a bit long though. I'm concerned that ordering half size down (my "true size") will lead to pinching and discomfort. Unfortunately no wide width in this brand.
Any experience with sizing up, using inserts, and making do when wide widths aren't available in a style that otherwise fills requirements? I have been ordering half size larger in sneakers and boots, which with inserts and socks has worked well so far! As a dress shoe, no sock option here.
Thanks for reading all this!
