Hello.

Helena's recent post on dressing for vacation (found here) was very timely as I've just finished a bunch of try-ons with three Hawaiian shirts I purchased for a cruise to the Caribbean. I kept the color theme for the shirts focused on blues, whites, and teals, so that I could mix and match easily with a small capsule for travel.

I tried both shorts and pants options. On a cruise ship to warm locations, I normally wear shorts on sea days while relaxing outside and switch to pants for a/c settings and casual night dinners.

#1 to #2 - Green and Pink Palm Tree Teal Button-up Shirt
This shirt pairs well with teal wide leg Mondetta pants and turquoise Lysse Amanda stretch twill shorts. I preferred this shirt tucked in because it is very long! Almost to my knees when worn untucked.

#3 to #5 - Teal and Pink Flower Pullover Vneck Shirt
I was delighted when I found a Hawaiian shirt without a collar. This is one of two that I purchased. The teal and pink is lovely paired with white bottoms including: JCrew Soleil Linen Pants, WHBM Pret-A-Pedi Pants, JCrew Heritage Chino Shorts.

#6 to #11 - Blue Print Pullover Vneck Shirt
The second Hawaiian shirt without a collar. This top was certainly the easiest to pair with other colored bottoms. It worked well with navy Caslon Wide Leg Pull On Linen Pants, navy Caslon Cotton Blend Joggers, Navy Nautica Chino Shorts, Flax Caslon Linen Pants, Ivory WHBM Mid Rise Pret-A-Play Shorts, and White JCrew Heritage Chino Shorts.

I'm certain I could've kept creating combinations but it took a few days to gather these photos together already and I think this is plenty of variety for me for now.

Thanks for looking!
