Looks like StyleFan and I are in the same predicament with shoes.

I like tunics for the same reasons BonnieG mentioned; have for quite some time & wish I could find more that suit my silhouette.

I'm also a newbie to ponte pants, but can't say it's a game changer in regards to my style. I'm just more comfortable.

Like you Una, my OTK boots. Or are they TTK boots? (to the knee). I can't say that the boots themselves scream "me" but they have opened up a whole bunch of outfits that I really enjoy wearing. They cover calf sucking pants, so I've been able to get a few pairs of bottoms I like otherwise, without worrying about this. They are totally weatherproof, and high, so have opened up dresses in the cooler weather. Work with skinny jeans and leggings. Good with shorter hemlines, they are what I always grab to wear with my EF leggings. They are slim, so flattering. They are the boots I grab when I'm going away, as they'll go with everything. Hmm, maybe I should duplicate!

The faux-tuck. It has revolutionized my dressing. It allows me to wear a wide variety of softer tops but maintain structure. I can't believe I ever dressed without it, and I wouldn't have learned it without YLF. A million thanks for that, Angie!

I can't say there has been one for me recently, and now I'm thinking I'm due for something........wonder what that should be

Mine is not very recent, but the long black BCBG jacket was a big game-changer for me -- it opened my eyes to longer jackets, when short ones dominated my wardrobe. It led to me embracing the long white jacket I bought in Amsterdam and the long white patterned jacket from Nordstrom. I like that it led me to a different, more unexpected, yet flattering silhouette. I have to stop myself from wearing it sometimes so I don't wear it out and give other things a chance to get worn.

I could use some sort of game changer for spring/summer this year. We shall see what the season brings!

My game-changers over the past couple of years have all been environmental (moving across the country, having a child, and moving back across the country). My wardrobe is still struggling to catch up...

I'd say ankle boots have been a game changer for me (along with limiting my shoe purchases to minimalist styles):

I never really jumped on the tall-boot bandwagon, since I've never had the critical mass of skinny pants to justify it, although I do keep a pair of tall boots around for wearing with skirts and dresses. Ankle boots, though, make so much sense for the type of pants I like to wear -- cuffed/cropped, sometimes a bootcut or straight leg.

I wore through two pairs of higher-shaft lace-up boots (more combat style than chukka style) in the past year or so, and once I got rid of them I realized what a major role they played for me. The low-cut boot is even more versatile for me right now, though I am thinking of adding another taller pair in the future.

A game-changer for me has been Commando black thigh-highs, because I used to find black tights too uncomfortable and suffered through the cold in less-fashionable nude hose. The thigh-highs are infinitely more comfortable, fashionable, and warm, and make my winter outfits look more pulled together (e.g., with a black beret, navy coat, black boots, and a burgundy satchel). Now I wear them for about half the year and have never looked back!

Cropped jeans (weather permitting) and blouses (again).

Cropped Straight Leg Jeans all the way. High five, Suz.

And all the Modern Retro influences to my style.

I am not sure I have one.....lived reading about others though.

Me too Cropped jeans (& culottes when it's hotter).
