I haven't looked at Fluevog for a while. My gmail seems to think their emails are spam so I almost never see them in my inbox. I've always run hot and cold on their styles - I either love them for their weirdness or think they are super ugly - so I think your response is normal. You know, I'd start to worry if I didn't get some kind of visceral love-it-or-hate-it reaction from Fluevog, because then I'd think they were slipping. (Kinda like allsaints these days, most of it is just meh, when in the past it was all weird-ugly or weird-fantastic.)

Both my pairs are quite old - I have red Operetta booties and the navy Dankes that I bought from Janet.

I've got those red Operetta booties too, Diana. I still wear them quite often, and they still draw compliments. They are good all-day walking heels (one of the only pairs of heels I have that are all-day walking shoes!).

I perused the website out of curiosity -- I have to admit that these are pretty cool, and I'd consider them if I hadn't bought very similar sandal-boots last year:

I'd at least try on anything in the picture with a pointy-toe and no heel or a block heel. But I have a weakness for black and white shoes... Also those yellow and black ones. But they have always been far out of my price range.
