Thank you verrra much! I'm definitely acclimating to the crutches--I think I crutch walked a mile yesterday at soccer (probably a little less) so today's outing was fairly painless. (I didn't have to carry around my chair--although it would have helped when I wanted to rest my leg.) I honestly thought it would be no problem except for having a hard time finding a vacant handicap space and because I chickened out on the escalator. Elevators are few and far between, it seems. I have to say that this has given me a new perspective on how difficult it is to be disabled. I can't wait to be back on two feet.
Have you ever seen anyone negotiate an escalator on crutches. I walked up to it but it was like jumping rope--I couldn't figure out how to get on. DD's commented that they were more worried about getting off. LOL!
Anyway, I'm about to kick up the dogs and have a cocktail. Hope you all have a terrific Mother's Day. Cheers!
ETA: Shopping was successful. DD's got some fun stuff, we did their exchanges and Mom (me) got a cute tee from F21 I can't wait to debut it--I love it. Rowrrr (hint.)
@Mochi: It's still the hard cast. No boot yet
