I went away with my friend, the one I was the maid of honor in her wedding. We went to the Yakima Valley for wine tasting. It's in central Washington. I used to live in the area for part of my childhood. We used to call it YakiVegas because it was sooooo exciting (insert 13 year old eyeroll). They tried to have a tourism campaign calling it the Palm Springs of Washington. I think finally the wine industry has given a boost.
We had brunch with an old college friend of mine who is living there now, I haven't seen her in over seven years. I gave her a bag of Theo chocolate, of course. She gave me homemade pluot jam. I think that's a fair trade.
It was only a small break, but was great to get away.
My pic is from a golf course, I do not play golf. We had brunch there.
